Welcome, Teacher! Logging in is the first thing that you’ll have to do to start using Brightspace. You can do it in two easy steps:
Log in by going to the designated link for your school. You will be shown a login page.
Enter your login credentials. You will then be redirected to the dashboard.
Tip: Don’t forget your login credentials! Make sure to write it down and keep your note in a secured and accessible place. Avoid saving your credentials in your computer to reduce security risks.
The organization home page is where everyone ends up after logging in. There are various shortcuts, that we call widgets, attached to the organization home page which the administrator has selected for the entire organization.
The home page also where you can access the important features that you’ll be using such as the course offerings you’re enrolled to and your Brightspace profile.
Your profile on the Brightspace LMS allows you to share various things about yourself. You can add your social media accounts, contact information, and personal information. All of the fields on the profile are optional, which means everyone can control how much they want to share.
If you want to change the information on your profile, click the Profile icon on the navbar and go to Profile. From there, you'll see the different fields where you can enter the information.
The course home page is unique to each course offering. The course home page, like the organization home page, was designed by the administrator. This is what both students and teachers will see when they visit the course offering page.
